Templates and Auto-Fill Diagram

Templates make it easy to add multiple tables and chairs to your diagram all at once. There are two different ways you can work with templates, the Auto-fill Diagram method, and the click and drag method.

Auto-fill Diagram Method

The Auto-fill Diagram method allows you to select a template, define a number of seats and have the objects automatically fill the diagram.

1. Select Templates in the toolbar and select the desired Template setup style.

2. After selecting the Template style, additional customization options will appear in the panel including table and chair size and arrangement spacing.

3. Use the Maximum Capacity Calculator to calculate the number of seats able to be placed on the diagram based on the entered standards.

4. Use the calculated Maximum Capacity or enter the desired Seat Count in the lower portion of the panel and click Auto-Fill Diagram

5. Once the tables have filled the diagram, the template can be adjusted by using the editing panel and re-sizing the template. Note the total table and chair count in the lower-right corner.

Click and Drag MethodAlternatively, you may click and drag to place a template on the diagram.

1. Select the Template icon in the toolbar.

2. Select the Template style.

3. Customize details such as Table and Chair size.

4. Move the cursor over to the diagram. Click and drag to place the objects.

5. Once the tables have filled the diagram, the template can be adjusted by using the editing panel and re-sizing the template. Note the total table and chair count in the lower-right corner.

Template Presets

Template Presets allow you to save frequently used template types and then re-use them to save time. You can follow these steps to save a Template Preset:

1. Select the Templates Icon and select a Template Setup type.

2. Modify the template options including table and chair size as well as arrangement details.

3. You may place the template on the diagram, or choose to save the preset without placing.

3. Click Save Preset.

4. Name the Template Preset. It may be helpful to include the table size or number of chairs per table.

5. Click the small box that reads Share to my Team if you would like everyone on your team to have access to this preset.

6. Select Edit Presets from the Preset drop-down to delete a preset or to rename it.

Please note that Template Presets are specific to each template setup type. For example: if your property uses 60" rounds that present will need to be saved for aligned and staggered tables to apply.

Maximum Capacity Calculator

The Maximum Capacity Calculator will calculate capacities up to 504 seats. For larger spaces accommodating more than 504 we recommend placing a template to your standards and checking the equipment list for the seat total.
